DB & the DOC

Posted by Dartmouth Broadcasting On Thursday, April 30, 2009

Dartmouth Broadcasting made good strides in campus notoriety on the consecutive weekends of April 17th and April 24th helping our friends on the first floor of Robinson Hall by donating remotes at the First Annual Ledyard River Festival and the 63 Annual Woodsmen's Weekend.

To the left, DB Directorate members AM PD Shirine Sajjadi '11, GM Schuyler Evans and News Director Madison Rezaei '12 pose for a picture at the River Festival.

This is our normal remote set up, connecting our tuner to our Fender unit... however, we brought out the stops for next weekend.

FM PD David 'Hoagie' Kastner '12 surveying the 99Rock remote equipment for the big remote the following weekend... we were planning on supplying enough watts to allow the DOC announcers to reach every participant on the Dartmouth Green.

As can be seen in this photo, the equipment set up was a bit unique. Our fender unit was about 10 feet off the ground and hidden by the gigantic plywood lumberjack.

Dartmouth Broadcasting was pleased to participate as a sponsor the 63rd annual Woodsmen's weekend on the Green at Dartmouth in the 100th year of the Dartmouth Outing Club. With over 30 teams from throughout the northeast, the Broadcasting staff witnessed an impressive array of skill in events ranging from chopping to log rolling to birling to an obstacle course.
